  Alexander lost his son Peter as a small child with smallpox and shortly after his wife died after the birth of twin daughters. A couple of years later he is before the Dunblane Kirk Session - Alexander Monteath, farmer in Park of Jerah,Logie 1783/4 had a child to Janet Eadie daughter of John Eadie, farmer, Blau Shank.
