Notes - We do not know the name of Owen's wife, it appears that she died in New York before Owen came to Canada. Owen is listed on the passenger list of the Hope in 1783 with 4 children...we do not know who the fourth child is either. Owen's brother Philip was also on the Hope with his family. Mary, Rebecca and Owen Jr all petition for land as the children of a UEL and list Owen Roblin as their father. (Linda Herman)
In his 1788 British government claim regarding his losses, Owen described his farm and holdings, initiated c. 1769, as follows
"Had a Lease farm held of David Mathews in Orange Co. It was for four years or 5 years a time, but says he could have sold the Improvements. He had lived there 10 years.
