  This individual was found on GenCircles at: http://www.gencircles.com/users/george_universe/1/data/72890 Spelt Prentise in some sources such as Gencircles Birth Place from Benjamin's 1880 US Census = ENG Born, circa 1773[1]. Resided, 1815, in Painesville, Geauga, OH. Farmer. CarolAnne Chepurny indicates that Oliver, his wife Lydia, and children Dorothea and Jacob may have been living in the Jacob Delong household in the 1800 Pittstown, Rennselaer Co., NY census. Although individuals were not listed by name in 1800, there were two extra adults and two children. Also they were all in Jacob Delong's household in Toronto a year later. In 1813, Oliver was charged by the Canadian government with high treason, so he and his family moved to Ohio. Shortly after 1821 they returned to Canada. He does not appear in the Ohio 1820 Census index. Although conjecture, he may be a son of Ephraim Prentice, #29 on pg. 269 who lived in nearby Grafton, Rennselaer Co., NY. He married Lydia Delong[2], c. 1794. [1]
