Ross was born October 20th, 1936, in Toronto, Ontario to William James and Dorothy Montgomery. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Pat. Caring father to Doug (Leah), Wende (Alistair) and Lori (Scott). Proud Grandfather (Poppa/Bop) to James, Trish, Kyra, Owen, Ryan and Zoey. Ross had a long and lengthy career with Data Business Forms as a Security Specialist Salesman. Ross enjoyed his cottage life and was considered "Mr. Fixup", there was no job Ross wouldn't tackle. Ross enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends at his beloved cottage on 'Squaw Lake'. Ross loved all things in nature (birds and chipmunks) and fondly always talked about his canoe trips with his best friend of 72 years, Dennis Phillipson. Ross and Pat spent 18 years at their winter home in Timber Pines, Florida and was active in golf, Canada Snowbird and Bridge Clubs. Ross enjoyed travelling, watching the Blue Jays, reading and was considered a real history buff. He always had an interest in technology and learning all he could about computers. Ross was gentle, honest, loyal and kind. He didn't wear his emotions on his sleeves but the people closest to him knew he loved them. Ross will be deeply missed by his family and friends and lovingly remembered for his well lived life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria Street E., Alliston Ontario on September 14, 2021 by invitation
