Notes - The TAMS family ran a line of wagons or coaches pulled by horses between London and Dover with stages at Rochester and Canterbury. Passengers who were unable to afford the coach fare walked beside the wagons for protection, but women and children were given lifts. The journey took 3 days (From Annie)
