    • I am researching this branch of our family and your entry has given me a couple of queries -

      George William (son of George - a gardener) got married on 13 February 1892 to Annie Leekey (b 1871- daughter of William Thomas Leekey - Optician). I have a copy of the certificate - on which he is actually named as William George even though in the register at the Family Records Centre in London he is listed as George William.

      They had 4 children:-

      Ethel Annie, William, George & Leonard (died 1919). My partner is descended from Ethel.

      Family knowledge has it that he married twice - the other wife possibly called Cathy? But they have absolutely no knowledge of any other offspring which is a bit confusing as the 3 then living children kept in contact with each other when they were alive.

      I would be really grateful for any information you can let me have.
