An alternative source of the 1851 UK Census reports as follows: 177 South Street, Folkestone, KEN Source: HO107/1633/2f/151 Henry MAJOR, Head, M, 27, Fisherman, b.Folkestone Ann MAJOR, Wife, M, 24, b.W.Hougham, KEN Susanna MAJOR, Dau, 2, b.Folkestone Sarah A. The 1851 Census for Henry/Ann TERRY----- the actual Census page does not give a Street number and it definately states "Radnor Street" not South Street. The "177" is not a Street number, it is an entry number only.

I have two more children: Henry Spearpoint b 1856 Folkestone FreeBMD B: Jun 1856 Major Henry Spearpoint * * * 1861 5 @ Radnor St. (Henry S) 1871 Mariner 15 @ East St. 1891 widower unemployed Fisherman 35 @ 31 Radnor St.
William b 1859 Births Jun 1859 MAJOR William Elham 2a 683 1861 2 @ Radnor St. Not with parents on 1871 census
I have also found a further Henry Spearpoint b1893 FreeBMD Births Mar 1893 Major Henry Spearpoint Elham 2a 1030
I therefore consider it likely that the Jane Elizabeth Hall marriage in 1880 (see below) was probably to the 1856 Henry Spearpoint and that the 1893 Henry Spearpoint is their son.
Marriage Mar 1880 Major Henry Spearpoint Elham 2a 1177 (To HALL Jane Elizabeth or Paterson Elizabeth) (If married Jane Hall, death could be her or more likely a child in Mar 1888 MAJOR Jane Elizabeth 30 Elham 2a 703)
