Notes - James worked as a groomsman for Dr. Armstrong in Russell Street, Toowoomba, This is where he met Sarah, James was also a bootmaker like his father James. Sarah and James married and moved to Bulimba in Brisbane, where they had several
children, they then moved to Loyds Avenue, Caulfield, Victoria by 1885, the children were immunised in Melbourne in 1885, they then moved on to Tasmania in1894-5. After Sarah died, James moved back to Tasmania where he married a Mrs Jane Fox,
the mother of 12 children, but only 5 were surviving at the time of her marriage to James, they lived in 43 Canterbury Street, Burnley, Victoria. [1]
