Loving husband of Anne Thureson of Parry Sound. Dear father of Steen and his wife Giselle; Anne Thureson and her husband Phil Greason; June and her husband Joe Dale; Yvonne McGlashen; Greg and his wife Debbie; Lee and her husband Robert White; Wendy and her husband John Noble. Loving Papa of Crystal Julie and David; Kim and Lori; Brendan and Tracy; Joanne Chris and Dana; Hannah and Chantal; Skye and Dane; Adrien and Daniel. Lovingly remembered by his great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Borg Gudrun and Eric. Fondly remembered by his other relatives and many friends. Resting at the Logan Funeral Home 81 James Street Parry Sound (746-5855) where the family will receive visitors on Sunday May 2nd from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tobias was born June 20, 1838. 1871 Census - Tobias Kerr, 30, is living in Sophiasburg with Mary 25, Jesse 4 and Stephen9/12 July. 1881 Census - Tobias, 41, Scottish, b. Ontario, is living in Adolphustown with Mary 37, Jessy 14, Stephen 10, and John age 8. 1901 Census - Tobias, Mary and John all living in Belleville. Mary Elizabeth (Roblin) Carr died 1923. March 7, 1839 in Sophiasburg, John married Elizabeth C. Anderson, born about 1820. John, age 42, is listed in the 1861 Sophiasburg Census with Elizabeth, age 42, Leander, age 22, John W. age 20, Jacob L (?) age 17, Edward M., age 11, Helen A., age 7, and George H., age 3. In 1871 John, age 51 is living in Hallowell with Elizabeth, age 52, Edward 21, George 13 and Helen, age 17. In 1881 John age 60, is living in Brighton with Elizabeth, age 62 and George, age 22. In 1891 John, age 71 is living in Brighton Twp with Elizabeth, age 75 and George, age 32 and wife Myra, age 26. Elizabeth died Dec 9, 1897; John died Dec 28, 1897, both in Brighton Twp. Aaron married Lucy Ann Dulmage, daughter of John Dulmage and Lucy Knapp. However the date of the marriage is unclear and it appears that this may have been a second marriage. In 1900 Aaron is found living in Sheridan, Michigan with Lucy. The information given states they have been married 11 years...49 years had been entered first and then crossed out. Lucy states she has had 8 children. 1861 Census - A. (Aaron) Roblin 35, married, is living in Hallowell with L. (Lucy?) 29, A. (Alfred) 9, J. (John) 7, W. (William) 4 and A. (Annie) 2. 1880 US Census - Aaron C. 54, b. Canada, is living in Sheridan Twp, Huron Co. MI with Lucy 46, b. Canada, George 16 b. Canada, Burthy 16, b. Canada, Malissa 14, b. MI, Matilda 11, b. MI, Charles 7, b. MI and Lucy 4, b. MI. 1900 US Census - Aaron living in Sheridan Twp, Huron C., MI with Lucy Ann and Charles; married 11 yrs (49 crossed out but more likely); 8 children. About 1851, Joseph married Rachel Louise Reynolds, daughter of Isaac and Sarah Reynold. Rachel was born May 21, 1830 in Marysburg. 1851 Census - Joseph, 23, is living in Adolphustown with Rachel 22 and his parents. Joseph died between 1858 and 1861. 1861 Census - R.L. Roblin 31 is living in Marysburgh with George Fred 9, John Stanley 8, Henry Ryerson 6, Joseph Robert 4 and Stephen Herbert 3. 1871 Census - Rachel, 40, is living in Hallowell with Frederick 19, Stanley 17, Henry 15, Joseph 14, and Roblert 12. Living next door is Isaac, 77, and Sarah, 66, Reynolds. 1881 Census - Rachel, 50, is living in Hallowel with son George and his wife Cynthia and John and Mary Lovell. 1901 Census - Rachel is living in Picton with Fred and Cynthia. Jonathan and Rachel are listed in Sydenham in the 1871 Census. In 1881 Jonathan is still in Sydenham, listed as a widower. Rachel died between 1871 and 1881. Melissa A., Stephen P., and Mary E. Stephen's parents Owen P. 85 and Mary 76 are also living with Stephen and family. Amy died Aug 20, 1857. She is buried in the U.E.L. Cemetery in Adolphustown. Stephen remarried Feb 16, 1859 to Martha Fairman. In 1861 and 1871 Stephen and Martha are found in Adolphustown. Martha died Aug 10, 1872. Roblin and great-grandson of Owen Roblin, the pioneer, was born October 4th, 1858, in Hallowell, and after attending the common, schools, graduated from St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., receiving his Bachelor's degree, and afterwards his Doctorate, in 1896. Having been called to this ministry, he laboured in his profession at Genoa and Victor, New York, and Bay City, Michigan, and for the past fifteen years has been president of the Massachusetts Universalist Convention. He is chaplain of the Canadian Club at Boston, chaplain of the Ancient and Honourable Artillery Company of Boston, and Knight Templar and thirty-second degree Mason.
