Roblin, formerly Rachel Maud White, who died Sunday at her home here, was buried Tuesday afternoon, services being held in Wesley United Church and burial taking place in Carman Cemetery. The pallbearers were A. Johnson, W. Vankoughnet, A. Vanmeer, Sig Johnson, William Garnett, George McCullough. 553 | Winnipeg Free Press Monday December 4, 1944 ROBLIN - On December 3 1944 at Carman, Manitoba, David Wilson Roblin aged 83 years. Funeral Service Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Carman United Church. Doyle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. David Wilson Roblin, Carman Pioneer, Dies David Wilson Roblin, brother of the late Sir Rodmond Roblin, and one of the earliest settlers in the Carman district, died suddenly Sunday, at his residence at the age of 83. Mr. Roblin was born in Prince Edward County, Ont., and came west to settle in Carman in 1882. His wife, Rachel, predeceased him in 1936 and a son, James P. Roblin, died in 1942. Mr. Roblin is survived by two daughters, Mrs. P.H. Hammond and Miss Bessie, both in Winnipeg; one son, Gordon, in Vancouver; also three grandchildren. 554 | Winnipeg Free Press Thursday May 11, 1916 The marriage of Miss Myrtle Roblin, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Roblin, of Carman, Man., to Philip Hammond took place quietly on Saturday, May 6, at the residence of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed at high noon by the Rev. Mr. Wilson, of the Methodist Church, in the presence of the immediate friends and relatives of the bride and bridegroom. Promptly to the music of Mendelssohn's Wedding March, played by Miss. Grace Hammond, sister of the bridegroom, the bride entered, accompanied by her father. She wore a three-piece costume of French-blue faille, the coat opening over a bodice of maize georgette crepe, with touches of black and gold. Her bouquet was of bridal roses and lilies of the valley. Her only attendant was Miss. Beatrice Campbell wearing a dainty gown of white embroidered voile, which was brightened by her cluster of pink roses. The bridegroom was assisted by Mr. B. Trotter, of this city. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a pendant of pink cameos and pearls, a cameo ring to the bridesmaid, and gold cufflinks to the best man.
