All we really know is that George was a farmer on the original family farm and he and his family are buried in Bethel cemetery in Simcoe County. Their children: 1. John (Aug. 25, 1854-May 10, 1911) m. Lavina Ramage 2. Mary (1856-1856) 3. Thomas (April 17,1857-November 13, 1920) married Mary-Anne Banane (d. December 25, 1933) in Etobicoke on February 15, 1882. 4. George (September 12, 1860-June 27, 1927) married Hannah Truman (July 27, 1866-January 30, 1920) in Malton on January 17, 1883. He married Arvilla Staffordshire, daughter of William D. Staffordshire; and is a man of wealth and prominence. Mr. Roblin is a studious, earnest-minded man, and takes an active interest in the affairs of the Methodist church, being trustee and steward for Ameliasburgh Centre Church. His wife also takes an active interest in church work, being president of the Woman's Missionary Society and of the Young People's League. The have both taught in the Sabbath school for years; and Mr. Roblin is secretary and treasurer of the School Trustee Board. Their only daughter, Florence, married Leonard T. Parks, son of Albert C. Sixth Place, died at Memorial Hospital Monday morning following a cerebral hemorrhage suffered earlier the same day. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, she was born May 1, 1895 in Milwaukee and has been a resident of Door county since 1918. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge. She was married to Lloyd Ferris in 1917 at Waukegan, Illinois. Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Rose; two sons, Charles of Green Bay and George of Milwaukee: and a brother Lawrence H. Smith, Lehigh Acres, Fla. The body will lie in state after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Davis funeral home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Vernon I. Graf at 2 pm Friday. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.
