Roblin Roundhouse.jpg My family lived in Ameliasburg from 1963-2003, in the old Roblin estate (round house). I have a couple of photos of the old house. I believe it was a gift from Owen to Edward.
Huldah had scratched her name in a pane of glass, and we never replaced that window because of that!
You know what was really sad. That house had a huge round attic full of hundreds of tin plated photos. My Father threw them all out. The house burned and had to be demolished about 14 years ago [abt 1993]. We always believed it to be haunted. Alot of people did, and my Father always reinforced that when he would say "We have never lost anyone to a ghost yet", yah, so that means it could happen. We do have some fond memories of that house as well. Roblin Lake was right behind it, so we could go swimming/fishing/hunting/skating when ever we wanted to. We also spent alot of time at the mill pond below where the old mill was.
