Notes - (Research):Paid research undertaken by Joan Phillipson in Ireland May 2011. Email dated May 6th 2011 below. My thoughts: The likelyhood that he was from Downpatrick is small at this point, there seems to be little in the way of Curlett activity in Downpatrick. He could well be from Castlewhelan as the church records for that parish don't exist. The possibility still exists that Robert Emmet CURLETT was not his real name but one taken by him at a later date.
