    Shane Kinnear:
For anyone who asks - Dad is in the cockpit of the B24 Liberator. It was the bomber that he flew through Monsoons and plenty of flack on his was to the Burma bridge (later known as the Bridge on the River Kwai). After one particularly difficult mission he was singled out and later award the DFC - The Distinguished Flying Cross. Enough to make everyone proud and land his handsome mug on the front page of the Toronto Daily Star (April 7 1942?)
