  • Notes 
    • Indications are that Richard and Sarah split and Richard went to join the Excise in London. This is where he met Dinah Burton. Because the woman were so far apart it was simpler not to try and marry Dinah as divorce was only for people with a bit of money. Richard and Dinah Burton then started to have children but either married later (as per the Banns in 1850) or never at all.
