  There is an inscription in the chancel of St. Oswald, Rockhampton which may be our Samuel. "Samuel Mallett, aged 65, 1683" Also from: Parish Church of St Oswald, Rockhampton Monumental inscriptions (interior and exterior inclusive of Ralph Bigland) completed by Edwin J Ford 1978 and kindly typed for us by Maureen Grout With Index Incumbents List '96 January 1978 "Margaret MALLETT, wife of Samuel Mallett of this parish, yeoman died 1674 " Thomas son of Samuel Mallett baptised Aug 25 1651 same church as Mabell
