• Notes

  Albert joined the AIF in Devonport, Tasmania 19 Oct 1917. Reg no. 8008, unit 27, 12 battalion. Albert embarked in Melbourne 28 Feb 1918 on the HMAS Estor, and disembarked in Liverpool, England 20 April 1918, he proceeded to France arriving 22 July 1918. where he was killed in action Albert was wounded in the right leg, and was put under a bank ready for removal by strecher bearers, when he was hit again by a piece of schrapnel in the head, killing him instantly.
