    • Spent Christmas of 1841 on the Atlantic going home to England. He spent much time telling family and friends about Canada when he was home as they knew little about it. Likely this is why other's decided to join him when he returned.

      He had planned on returning to Canada in the spring but his father was old and told him to he could't leave while he was alive so Robert remained until his father passed away.
