AKA Francisco? According to son John's marriage record but that same record also makes a mess of Jane's maiden name.

Not to be confused with Francis James McGuire born abt 1820 Ireland died 17 Sep 1906 Toronto Wife Anna McElheran 1832-1875 who was also a member of this parish.

In the 1851 census there are two likely matches for Francis, both living with their families and both in Hamilton Twp, Northumberland and both Roman Catholic.

    Catherine - Ireland 41
    Francis - Ireland 19

    McGUIRE, SIMPSON

Looking for info on Francis McGUIRE, found in 1871 Census in Murray Twp., Northumberland Co., age 49, born in Ireland. I am trying to discover if he is my Francis McGUIRE/MAGUIRE, born circa 1820 in Ireland, son of Robert MAGUIRE found in 1846 in Lugnafaughery, co. Leitrim, Ireland. Francis married Mary SIMPSON, d/o John of Co. Sligo, circa 1839/40 and immigrated to Upper Canada some time afterwards.

Any information is welcomed. Please contact: Barbara SMITH at BJSMITH461@aol.com

    Notes:

There seem to be several McAuley men who are in the right age range to be a brother of Henry, maybe some or all of them are?

In the old St Peter Churchyard stones there is a stone that reads "Dan'l Macauley who departed this life Mar 2 1840 aged 54 years. Possible brother to Henry

Also a Robert McAuley was an UEL
