Description: James Henry Roblin was my husband's g-g-grandfather. I have found documentation of these events:

1851 - Born Aug, Tyendinaga, Ontario, Canada

1861 - Age 10, living with John Roblin, age 12, in Tyendinaga, Hastings, Ontario, attending school, religion Episcopal Methodist.

1871 - Living in Tyendinaga, Hastings, Ontario, with parents and siblings.
James, age 18. Father "Oen" age 48, farmer, mother "Phidia' age 49,
Sisters Tabitha (16) and Annettie (11); brothers David (8), William (6) and Charles (2).
Religion: Presbyterian, Origin: Germany.

1878 - Sep. 25 - Marriage to Harriet Frederick, Belleville, Ontario
James H. Roblin, age 27, single, manufacturer. His parents: Owen and Phidinia Roblin.
Harriet, age 23, single, birthplace Sidney, parents Allan and Lucinda Frederick.

1881 - Lived in Belleville, Hastings, Otario, cigar maker, age 29, with wife Harriet, age 24.

1883 - Oct 31 - Birth of daughter Harriet Edna Roblin.
On 1891 census, 8 year old daughter Harriet is living with grandparents Allan and Harriet Frederick

Notes:

In the returns of disbanded troops and loyalists mustered on the 5th October, 1784, appear the names of Owen P. and Philip Roblin; from which it is to be inferred that each of these pioneers served in the British cause, and, owing to the liberal policy of the Government in granting two hundred acres of land to each United Empire Loyalist, were each in possession of large tracts of land. Owen P. Roblin, who was born in 1774, married Mary Dulmage, who was born in 1780. They settled in the Bay Front in Ameliasburgh, about half a mile east of Rednerville. The property is now in the possession of Hamilton Welbanks, as George Roblin, to whom it was left, sold out and bought from the Government two hundred acres in the second concession of Ameliasburgh. The latter place, which is near the Centre Church, is now owned by George E. Roblin, a grandson of Owen P. Roblin.
