    Notes:

Indications are that Richard and Sarah split and Richard went to join the Excise in London. This is where he met Dinah Burton. Because the woman were so far apart it was simpler not to try and marry Dinah as divorce was only for people with a bit of money. Richard and Dinah Burton then started to have children but either married later (as per the Banns in 1850) or never at all.

    • Residence: 1851, Bloomsbury, , London, England; Eagle Street, St George

    Notes:

There are some trees online who list a 2nd Dinah who Richard was married to, this being Dinah MERCER. After much research I've come to the conclusion that there is no Dinah MERCER, there are no records to support her existance. The one death of a Dinah KEBELL in 1850 ends up being another family all together. The late reading of Banns for Dinah BURTON and Richard KEBELL that lead to the assumption of a 2nd marriage has more to do with the wife that Richard left behind in Kent than the existance of another Dinah.

    Birth:
In the 1841 census she is mixed up with her daughter Frances, you can see notations on the page that indicate this and on careful examination it becomes clear what's happening.

    Residence:
Listed as Dinah KEBELL even though they didn't get married until after the census was taken.

    Died:
Died at 11 Frances St, Lambeth. Witness Frances Anne North, her step-daughter, who was living at 117 Eagle St, Red Lion Square, London

    Notes:

    Married:
It is possible that although they had their Banns read they were not married

    Occupation:

    Alt. Birth:
1841 Census lists his year of birth as 1771 however it is not known for good age recording and the others on the page who's age is known from other records are off as well so this is likely incorrect.

    Notes:

Possible christening on 21 Aug 1726 St. Lawrence however this would have made him 27 when he married Ann, a little old unless this was a 2nd marriage.

At least three possible burials that could be his.

Richard married Ann FREEMAN on 2 Jan 1753 in Thanet, , Kent, England. Ann and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Notes:

Possible christening and the only one to match her name on 19 Sep 1725, as with the possible match for Richard this would make her a little old to be married for the first time in 1753. Yet it would make them about the same age.
