    Notes:

    Michel's mother was listed as being an Eskimo, however, since there was never an Eskimo community in Cape Breton, Michel's mother was most likely an Mi'Kmaq from the Eskasoni band in northern Cape Breton. At that time there were many marriages between the French and Micmac or Mi'Kmaq Indians in Acadia and Quebec. Those indians eating raw fish were called Eskimos.
