    John, age 42, is listed in the 1861 Sophiasburg Census with Elizabeth, age 42, Leander, age 22, John W. age 20, Jacob L (?) age 17, Edward M., age 11, Helen A., age 7, and George H., age 3. In 1871 John, age 51 is living in Hallowell with Elizabeth, age 52, Edward 21, George 13 and Helen, age 17. In 1881 John age 60, is living in Brighton with Elizabeth, age 62 and George, age 22. In 1891 John, age 71 is living in Brighton Twp with Elizabeth, age 75 and George, age 32 and wife Myra, age 26.

    Elizabeth died Dec 9, 1897; John died Dec 28, 1897, both in Brighton Twp. They are buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Settled in Sophiasburgh, and then Demorestville, Prince Edward County, Ont.

    Jacob Roblin (Owen2,Owen1) son of Owen Roblin Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Ruttan was born 1795 in Adolphustown. Jacob married Sarah VanDusen August 7, 1816 in Adolphustown. Sarah b. May 26, 1798 was daughter of Conrad VanDusen and Millicent Ferguson.

    In the 1861 census Jacob, age 68, and Sarah, age 64 are living in Sophiasburg with son Conrad. In 1871, Jacob, age 76 and Sarah , age 74, are living in Sophiasburg with son, Owen.

    Jacob died June 7, 1876. Sarah, age 83, is found in the 1881 Census living in Sophiasburg with daughter, Sarah E. and husband Austin Osborne. Son, Jacob, age 56, is also living with his mother and sister in Sophiasburg in 1881.

    Sarah died Dec 12, 1883.

    Jacob married Sarah VANDUSEN on 7 Aug 1815 in Adolphustown Township, Lennox & Addington County, Ontario, Canada. Sarah (daughter of Conrad VANDUSEN and Millicent FERGUSON) was born on 26 May 1798 in Adolphustown Township, Lennox & Addington County, Ontario, Canada; died on 12 Dec 1883.
