    HILDA AMY MACQUARRIE

HILDA AMY MACQUARRIE Passed away at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Thursday, December 7, 2006. Loving wife of the late Curtis MacQuarrie, mother of David and mother-in-law of Cathrine Kinnear. Sister to the late Willa, Don, Rene, Ethel and Roy Harding of Nerepis, New Brunswick. Thank you for the many Merry Christmases and Happy Birthdays. Thanks for letting me win at checkers, for making meals, clothes, happiness. Thanks for the funny accents, the swimming lessons, the winter walks, the glamour girl smiles, the odd fits of fury. Thanks for knowing the names of all the wildflowers, for helping with the fort, with the math, with the play rehearsals. Thanks for your long and loving marriage. Thanks for abiding the cats, rescuing the hamster. Thanks for the silly songs, the serious talks, the sweet tooth. Thanks for the firm hand; thanks for letting go. Thanks for loving music and cinema. Thanks for looking great in mink and heels. Thanks for the skepticism and for the open mind. Thanks for making a great big deal of things. Thanks for finding the simple pleasures in a complex world. Thanks for helping me earn the friends I have. Thanks for being such a lady. Thanks for the loving journey. Cathrine and I and all your friends miss you so much. A private graveside service has taken place at Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington.
