Father of Herb Roblin (Carol) of Napanee. Grandfather of Barbara Mirza (Alex) of Santa Monica, CA, and Eric Roblin (Lynne) of Ajax. Great- grandfather of Julia Roblin and Sophia Mirza. Survived by his sister, Evalyn Louise Collins of Ottawa. Predeceased, by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Jane Rikely, his parents, Reade Mallory Roblin and Marion Genevieve Roblin (Bogart), his brother William Douglas Roblin and his sister Ruth Marion Hart. Visitation at the Wannamaker-Tierney Funeral Home, Napanee on Wed, Nov. 17, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masonic Service at 6:45 pm. The funeral service will be held at Adolphustown UEL United Church on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 11:00 am. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Napanee. ROBLIN, Mildred Jane UE - Passed away peacefully, with her husband at her side, at Village Green, Selby, on Thursday, September 24, 2009, in her 102nd year. Mildred Jane Rikely, beloved wife for 67 years of John Lewis (Jack) Roblin, Adolphustown. Loving mother of Herb Roblin (Carol) of Napanee. Caring grandmother of Barbara Mirza (Alex) of Santa Monica, CA, and Eric Roblin (Lynne) of Ajax. Great grandmother of Julia Roblin and Sophia Mirza. Predeceased by her parents, George Herbert Rikely and Agnes Almeda Rikely (Gilbert). The family will receive friends at the WANNAMAKER- TIERNEY FUNERAL HOME, 123 Dundas Street West Napanee (613-354-3341) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. Obituary:
Reade M. Roblin Died Suddenly at Adolphustown Home - Reade M. Roblin, a prominent resident of Adolphustown, died suddenly on Tuesday, December 3rd. He had been ill for some time, but recently had appeared to be much improved and his unexpected death came as a great shock to his family and many friends.
Mr. Roblin was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Roblin and had lived all his life in the township of Adolphustown. Besides operating a farm, he had been agent for a well known farm implement firm and was widely known throughout the district. For several years he had also been the treasurer of the Township of Adolphustown. He is survived by his wife, formerly Genevieve Bogart, two daughters, Evelyn, Mrs. K. F. Collins, of Napanee, Ruth, Mrs. S.D. Hart of Picton, and by two sons, W. D. (Bill) of Peterborough and Jack, at home. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jas Stewart, of Napanee, and Mrs. J. McCullough of Kingston. His funeral is being conducted at Dorland United Church on Friday afternoon, Dec. 16 at 2:00 o'clock.
